The interactive robot installation »Hi Human!« invites passers-by into the world of applied AI research at the Augsburg Technical University of Applied Sciences as part of the KI-Produktionsnetzwerk Augsburg within the research group Human-machine interaction with intelligent systems.

In the KI-Schaufenster a collaborative robot arm engages pedestrians into a dialogue through its movements. The robot becomes a moderator of the key topics of the KI-Produktionsnetzwerk Augsburg presented as generative visuals on screens, which are driven by the robot's movement behavior.

For the project a novel interface was developed to control the robot arm, which enables fast and intuitive design of human-robot interactions. An open source release is planned for the near future and will also address creative disciplines such as design and architecture.
